Counties of the UK: Isle of Wight


This is the next instalment of my monthly feature going through the Counties of the UK in alphabetical order to check out things of interest.  I hope you enjoy it


Location – an island in the English Channel.  There are 3 prisons on the island – not that the prisoners are from the island!

Nicknames – Those born on the island are sometimes called Caulkheads.
