Foodie Friday: Quiche Lorraine

So who was Lorraine?  Isn't that a girl's name?  And do you remember the 70's and that 'real men don't eat quiche'!

Quiche Lorraine is not named after a woman but after the Lorraine region of France.  That is in the north east.

This dish is an open pie filled with a mix of eggs and cream and with added cheese and bacon (or lardons).

  1. Funny story. My son doesn't like eggs in any way. He won't eat frittata but he will eat quiche. I have no idea why he thinks there is a difference.
