Just you know why
Why you and I
Will bye and bye
Know true love ways
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
Throughout the days our true love ways
Will bring us joys to share with those who really care
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
Throughout the days our true love ways
Will bring us joys to share with those who really care
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
Why you and I
Will bye and bye
Know true love ways
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
Throughout the days our true love ways
Will bring us joys to share with those who really care
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
Throughout the days our true love ways
Will bring us joys to share with those who really care
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why just you and I know true love ways
I've posted about Buddy Holly before – here,
Peggy
Sue and That'll
Be the Day – so I won't repeat myself.
I just wanted to remind you of True
Love Ways - which I think would
stand up well to any contemporary song.
The song was released in 1960 – the year after his untimely death (at
only 22) It was recorded just 4 months
earlier.
Holly, a Texan, wrote in a high school essay 'I have
many hobbies. Some o9f them are hunting,
fishing, leatherwork, reading, painting and playing western music. I have thought about making a career out of
western music if I am good enough but I will just have to wait and see how that
turns out.'
