Need Some Inspiration? Try Picnic Food!

Turmeric & Ginger Pickled Eggs

Food on Friday:  Picnic Food  provided some fabulous picnic ideas.  I have chosen a few dishes to inspire you today.  There were so many other great dishes.  If you would like to check them out at a glance, just head on over to this Pinboard

The first pic at the top of the post is from Cooking Weekends.  Your Turmeric & Ginger Pickled Eggs are just fabulous, Gerlinde!

And how about this Peanut Butter Pie with Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Ganache by Cristina of I Say NoMato!

This Slow Roasted Tomato and Quark Tart from TIFFIN looked just the thing.  I need to try cooking with quark!

Jenn, your Stuffed Buns are certainly not Random Scraps!

And how good does this Hawaiian Style Loaded Tuna Macaroni Salad Erlene from My Pininterventures look!

Kristin, your Green Tomato Jam Burgers would be a hit at any picnic.  Well done to Farm Fresh Feasts.

Jean from Delightful Repast brought over this wonderful Peach Slab Pie with Buttermilk pastry.

And to finish off with a taste of Kiwi, here is my own classic Bacon & Egg Pie

This Food on Friday is all about food that would be great at a Picnic!

To add your dishes, just put the name of the dish together with your blog name/name into the first Mr Linky box you will find below.  Then paste the url for your post about it into the second box.

I'll be pinning the dishes to this Pinboard which will make it easy for you to check them out at a glance.  The more than 100 links from the earlier collection in November 2013 are also on that board.

Food on Friday: Picnic food

 ON

It may not be picnic weather where you are but there's no harm in thinking about what makes good picnic food.

To add to the collection just pop your name and the name of the dish into the first Mr Linky box and paste the url for your post about it into the second box.  Your post doesn't have to be a recent one.

To make it easier for you to check out the other dishes I will be pinning them to this Board so you can see them at a glance.

And a reminder – previous Food on Fridays are still open for entries – so please add your dishes as you like.  To make sure I pin them to the appropriate board please leave a comment.

Antipasto

Antipasto on Carole's Chatter

Food on Friday this week is going to be on picnic food.  And what could be easier than taking along some containers of a selection of yummy stuff.  This time there were artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives (pitted), Cheese stuffed bell peppers, Cheese stuffed chilli peppers and mixed stuffed green olives.  No work required other than buying it all at your supermarket deli.

Sometimes the simplest stuff tastes the best.
