Books You Loved: New Year Edition!

Books You Loved: December  Edition provided reviews of some great books to finish the year. Thank you to all. Here are a few links that caught my eye:

Elizabeth of Silver's Reviews posted about The Lindberg Nanny   She said 'THE LINDBERGH NANNY is an excellent, well-researched, fictionalized account of this tragic event.'

Melissa  linked in her Goodreads review of The Friendship Breakup.  She said 'This novel inspired me to host a gathering for my friends in hopes of connecting with them more. …I totally loved this novel and have nothing to critique about it. I read it all in the span of a day as I couldn't put it down.'

Tina Culbertson brought us a pearler – Lost For Words.  She said 'The setting is a bookshop in York England. All of the characters came to life with their own quirky personas… it's Loveday Cardew we focus on. It started slowly and I will admit to thinking of skimming but then - bam - I was so invested in Loveday's past and how it shaped her.'

Finally, Marianne brought over The Evening and The Morning.  I've now got it from the library and it's a real door stop.  She said 'I love the Kingsbridge series. This one is just as fabulous as the ones before this, or the ones that come after, chronologically in the story.'

Now on to the Books You Loved: New Year Edition. The very first one for the year! There are no rules for this party.  The only requirement is that your post is about a book that you loved.

To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and paste the url of your post about it into the second box.

I'll be pinning your links to this Pinboard  to make it easier for you to check them out at a glance.

Wishing you and yours a very good 2023.

  6. Great that I could persuade you to read "The Evening and the Morning". And yes, it is a real door stop though I would never use any of my beloved chunksters for that purpose. LOL

This month, my book is a little shorter though also really interesting.

Have a happy new year, everyone, and thanks for your work all year long, Carole.

  7. Hope you enjoy Ken Follett's The Evening and the Morning, it's a great read! I'm linking Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera Companion today, absolutely loved it!

    4. I was wondering if Carole was alright too as I haven't seen a recent "Books You Loved" post for February 2023.

      So relieved.
