I'm indulging my love for contemporary New Zealand art again. This time it's Robin White's Mangaweka.
This work dates from 1973 and captures the very essence
of rural New Zealand. The Bedford
truck. The building and the hills
behind. The town is in the Rangitikei (
central North Island).
My
attention was drawn to this painting by New Zealand Art: From Cook to
