Books You Loved: September Edition!

Books You Loved: August Edition again provided reviews of some great books. Thank you to all. Here are a few links that caught my eye:

Karen and Gerard from Grab a Book from our Stack posted about The Island by Adrian McKinty.  They said 'It is going to be a series on Hulu so that should tell you how good this book is!  Highly recommended!  (Gerard's review, 5++ stars)

Karen's review:

The Island by Adrian McKinty is a thriller right from the start!  This is about a family vacation to Australia that turns into a nightmare! '

The Bodyguard by  Katherine Center was brought over by Melissa of Chick Lit Central.  She said 'Once again, Katherine had me glued to my seat. I could not get enough of this story and finished it in one day. I loved both Hannah and Jack and their easygoing banter throughout. There was such a fun set of characters (including the ones I was not supposed to like) and a compelling plot!'

The ever indomitable Elizabeth of Silver's Reviews had 3 books which appealed to me:

The Librarian Spy by Madeline Martin – she said 'Two brave women, two countries, and WWII. We meet Ava who had worked at the Library of Congress but was transferred to Lisbon because of her language skills and to serve as a spy. We also meet Elaine in Lyon who is helping the French Resistance …

You will cry with the characters and feel their pain and terror as well as share some joys in this marvelous, well-researched book with great characters, a great story line'

The German Wife by Kelly Rimmer – She said 'Historical fiction fans will not want to miss THE GERMAN WIFE, but be aware readers will also learn of more horrors during WWII and the lingering effects it had on American servicemen. 5/5'

And for some light relief The Littlest Library by Poppy Alexander.  She says 'THE LITTLEST LIBRARY is a very sweet, cozy, comfy read that will warm your heart… Don’t miss this adorable book.  5/5'

Now on to the Books You Loved: September Edition. There are no rules for this party.  The only requirement is that your post is about a book that you loved.

To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and paste the url of your post about it into the second box.

I'll be pinning your links to this Pinboard  to make it easier for you to check them out at a glance.

Hope you have a lovely September and find lots of good books – and read them!

  4. I always find some books I would like when I visit these posts, being a librarian The Librarian Spy caught my attention. Today I finished reading my favorite book thus far this year, Castle Richmond by Anthony Trollope.
