Another Brick in the Wall – Pink Floyd

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teacher, leave them kids alone

Hey, teacher, leave them kids alone
All in all, it's just another brick in the wall
All in all, you're just another brick in the wall

My favourite Pink Floyd album was Dark Side of the Moon – felt so grown up listening to it!

But this spectacular number comes from The Wall. It dates back to 1979. Three tracks were devoted to it.  It was part of a sort of rock opera.  It was written by the hugely talented Roger Waters.

It is said to be a protest song about government messing with people's lives – but who knows?

  1. I just bought a Rolling Stone magazine about Pink Floyd. I was fortunate enough to see them perform at the Miami Baseball stadium waaaaay back in the late 1970's :-)
