Books You Loved: November Edition!

Books You Loved: October Edition again provided reviews of lots of great books. Thank you to all. Here are a few that caught my eye:

Melissa of Chick Lit reviews reviewed 100 Days Of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons.  She said 'This novel is funny, heartbreaking, sweet, romantic, and full of hope. It's a clean romance and safe to share with a slightly younger audience.'

Book Reviews by Linda Moore was enthused by The Keeper of Happy Endings by Barbara Davis.  Her post said 'This book is so good. So emotional. So sad. So beautiful. It's honestly written to perfection in my humble opinion. ..

A true love story. A true romance. A true historical. A true women's fiction. This is the book that will be on top of my list for books I have read in 2021. '

Tina of Turn the Page brought over Billy Summers by Stephen King.  First of all she reassured us that it wasn't horror. She also said 'Billy Summers is the "bad guy" you'll be rooting for, wanting to see him put one over on all the hooligans who decide his dumb act is real. '

A new Jodi Picoult was reviewed by Books I Think You Should Read – Wish You Were Here.  Elizabeth said 'At first I was like, ugh, I don't want to read another book set in COVID times—we already have to live it, currently—but then the book ended up winning me over. Also, something MAJOR happens midway through the book that completely changes the course of the narrative. After that I was hooked and had to find out immediately how the book ends.'

Now on to November  - gosh. There are no rules for this party.  The only requirement is that your post is about a book that you loved.

To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and paste the url of your post about it into the second box. Mr Linky also makes you tick a box.

I'll be pinning your links to this Pinboard to make it easier for you to check them out at a glance.  Yesterday a few of our libraries started doing click and collect – yay! And in another week all of them should re-open.

Take care and stay safe.

  6. If, like me, you find yourself longing for wholesome, hopeful, uplifting, and redemptive Christian fiction, give these a try. I sped through this smartly paced, plot-driven suspense series with no-frills prose.

  7. I brought you a mystery from an author new to me, Alice Feeney. Thanks much for the Stephen King shoutout. I am not a fan of horror so his last two books have been a pleasant surprise.
