Books You Loved: July Edition provided reviews of lots of great books. Thank you to all. Here are a few that caught my eye:
Melissa did a wow review of The Forest of Vanishing Stars: A Novel by Kristin Harmel. She said 'I can't stop thinking about this novel. Everything about it was just so powerful from start to finish. ..It's definitely one of my top picks for 2021.'
Tracey of Carpe Librum brought over The World at my Feet by Catherine Isaac. She said 'The World At My Feet by Catherine Isaac was a terrifically enjoyable contemporary novel with moments of character insight and inspiration and I was willing Ellie through as she lost her way and dusted herself off again.'
A Peculiar Combination by Ashley Weaver was posted by Alex of The Children's War. The review said 'A Peculiar Combination lives up to it ironic title and more, and will have readers wanting even more by the time they reach novel's end. '
Last for this time is The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson. Barbara of Stray Thoughts reviewed it – she said 'Kim Michele Richardson ties together the blue people of Kentucky and the Pack Horse Librarian initiative to create unusual and interesting historical fiction.'
Now on to August. There are no rules for this party. The only requirement is that your post is about a book that you loved.
To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and paste the url of your post about it into the second box. Mr Linky also makes you tick a box.
I'll be pinning your links to this Pinboard to make it easier for you to check them out at a glance.
Done. Thanks for the shout out!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for highlighting my review of The World at my Feet by Catherine Isaac, I hope more readers discover this wonderful book!
ReplyDeleteA great book by a German author who digs into the past of her grandparents. Did they follow the Nazis or not? I found it very touching as most Germans ask themselves that question.
ReplyDeleteI brought you Northern Spy by Flynn Berry.
