St Mary Magdalene is one of my favourites. Not only was she a witness to some of the
most important moments in Christ's life, she was also flawed just like other
people.
She asked for
forgiveness and was readily granted it.
She is the patron
of repentant sinners, hairdressers, perfume makers and contemplatives. Her emblem is a jar of ointment and loosened
hair.
Her feast day is 22 July.
