Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett and drawn by Ron Barrett

 

This book was such fun.  It reminded me a bit of a song "On top of old Smokey (or Spaghetti) that we used to sing as kids!

 

The book came out in 1978 – that's a long time ago now!  And it was made into a movie of the same name.

 

The book is based on a simple idea that really tickles kids' fancies – in the town of Chewandswallow – the weather comes 3 times a day in the form of different foods.

 

I do recommend you revisit this one.
