Coat of Many Colors by Dolly Parton

Coat of Many Colors is a charming illustrated book for children.  The words are from Dolly's song of the same name and the pictures are by Brooke Boynton-Hughes.

The words are great, as is the song.  The pictures are evocative – probably a little bit idealised.  But the bottom line is that this book will raise your spirits – and we all need that.

  1. Do you know about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library? DP believes passionately in the right of children to have access to books. From 6 months - school age, my granddaughter received a lovely new book every month, funded by DP's library. The scheme operates all round the world, not sure if it has reached NZ yet. But I think it is terrific.

  2. How sweet. I do admire Dolly Parton. And like her, she has a great sense of humour.
