This
book is indeed timeless and charming. It
was published originally in 1941!
The illustrations are fabulous – not highly coloured but just right for the story.
It is a
gentle story about a couple of mallard ducks who have a family in Boston. The ducklings are called – wait for it –
Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack and Quack!
Read this one aloud to any youngie you can corrall!
