Simple but spectacular.
These are orange flavoured crepes flambéed in liqueur – usually Grand
Marnier. The spectacular part is that
the flambéing is done at the table not in the kitchen.
The dish is said to have been created in 1905 in Monaco
when the Prince of Wales asked for crepes and the waiter unintentionally set
fire to the dish. The Prince loved the
taste and the dish was then named after one of his guest's daughters.
