The New
Zealand Book Council came up with a list of books by New
Zealanders that they reckon every kid should have read by the age of 12. I decided to check out the ones I haven't
read and post about the ones I agreed were good (in no particular order).
I was delighted by this book – it is subversively funny
and entertains both adults and children.
The book is not just illustrated, it also has little pockets and
attachments. I am going to see if this
author has done anything else.

ReplyDeleteI like your project. I have been reading books that won the American Library Association Caldecott Award for illustration, mostly they are picture books for children who don't read yet. Most of them are delightful.
