Girls is what some people would call chick lit. It is about 3 sisters and their mother and
what happens to them.
This was a well written, well-paced story – although the
ending suddenly happened – I expected 30 or so more pages but instead there was
an excerpt of her next book.
The sisters are all facing challenges – one marriage
breakdown, one being jilted and the other having to decide whether to act as a
surrogate for a friend. Each of them are
affected by their past history and have blind spots. There is a bit of humour thrown in as well.
There is some sex in the book but not particularly
graphic.
Thank you to Melissa from Chick Lit Central for her
post recommending this one.
Nothing wrong with a Chick Lit every now and then!
