Weird music - The 13th Floor Elevators

If you call yourselves The 13^th Floor Elevators you have to be a bit quirky.  The band was from Texas.  They only lasted 4 years – from 1965 to 1969.  They described their music as psychedelic rock.  As might have been expected the band had a turbulent ride – might have had something to do with mood altering substances!
