My Favorite Things by Maira Kalman

I read My Favorite Things by Maira Kalman because I enjoyed her book The Principles of Uncertainty so much.  And I wasn't disappointed (sorry about starting the sentence with 'and'!)

It’s a quirky and heart warming book – a quick read – but I warn you – as soon as you have finished you'll want to read it again.  So many gems in the writing and the illustration.

It is loosely based on an exhibition the author created for The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York.  Very loosely based, I must say.

I hope your local library has a copy for you to read.

  1. This looks WONDERFUL! I have enjoyed other "picture books" by Maira Kalman. Her art books are fantastic. :)
