I love libraries too and probably been a librarian!! I also visit Friends of the Library Used Bookstores and enjoy buy books as the funds support the local public libraries.
Yes, books are so expensive to buy at bookstores. Our library also will bring books in from other libraries when they don't have the copy you are looking for.
As an ex librarian myself, I am a huge fan of the public library system :)
