Leadenhall Market is a lovely covered
market on Gracechurch St in the City of London.
It is frequented by all sorts of City types after work for a drink in
The Lamb – actually when I say "in" the Lamb – that is quite wrong –
whatever the temperature everyone stands outside in the market with their
drinks and the only people in the pub are going to order! Quite eccentric.
The
market dates back to the 14th
century. Not the current building –
obviously. That was designed in 1881. For me this is a truly London experience that
shouldn't be missed.

My word, that takes me back some 45 years! Used to visit this place regularly - particularly for the cheeses on offer. Used to work nearby and it was easy to call in during the lunch hour, or on the way to the Tube to go home! Those were the days - thanks for the lovely memory!

That's pretty neat that they enjoy the outside no matter the weather.
