Flag of the week: Kenya




I find the colours in the Kenyan flag a little bit somber but do like the shield in the middle.  This flag dates back to 1963 when Kenya became independent of Britain.  Kenya lies on the equator in East Africa.  It has 5 other countries on its boundaries – Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.
