Flag of the Week – France



This week's flag is well known – naturally given the popularity of France as a tourist destination.  But did you remember which order the colours go in?
The flag dates back to 1794. It was deliberately designed to be very plain as a break from the Monarchy that preceded the Republic.

    I only remember because it's like the Italian flag (except blue).
