Carole Lombard – actress

Carole Middleton – mother of the Duchess of Cambridge -… not sure she really qualifies

Carole Cadwalladr – UK author

If you add the misspelling “Carol” then you could add:

Carol Burnett – comedian

Carol Shields - author

According to US statistics, there are 110,928 Carole’s in the US.  It is the 504^th most popular name.
