Malcolm Gladwell – The Tipping Point

This little book comes highly recommended.  It is well written and its premise is very interesting.  If you only had time to read 2 business related books, make this one of them.  This is what Amazon has to say about it:

"The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precisely targeted push cause a fashion trend, the popularity of a new product, or a drop in the crime rate."

Publishers Weekly said it was a “facile piece of pop sociology”.  Well I beg to differ – just because something is readable doesn’t make it bad!  I suspect an overdose of intellectualism behind that assessment.

  1. Thanks so much for reviewing this book, and for visiting my blog Carole. I'd never heard of this one but I'm off to Amazon to buy it right now.
