author of Watership Down, Richard Adams was born on this day in 1920.
I
just loved this book – one unfortunate side effect is that I still can’t bring
myself to eat rabbit! Once read, you
feel you have some insight into the world of rabbits. Of course, you don’t really because the book
created a fantasy world in a bucolic setting.
I
did see the film – but like so often is the case – the book was much better in
my opinion.
