Sisters Behaving Badly by Maddie Please

 

 

I really enjoyed this one.  But don't take any notice of the title, subtitle or the blurb – they are quite misleading. No one is misbehaving deliberately.

 

This is a tale about 2 sisters in their 60's who have been estranged for years.  Their lives have turned out very differently – and not for the better.

 

They inherit a house in the French countryside and need to renovate it and sell.  You will be fascinated by how they get on and how the reasons for the estrangement come to light.  And you will also find lots of humour.

 

The French setting is lovely and the lesser characters are lovable, and in one case easy to detest.
