The Old Girls' Network by Judy Leigh

It's such a breath of fresh air to read a good book with older people as the main protagonists.  Here we have 2 sisters who are very different and don't really get on and a character called Bisto Mulligan – he appears to be a vagrant when Pauline accidentally knocks him over.

What happens next is funny and in the end uplifting.  The setting is a little English village in Somerset.

I've read and enjoyed other Judy Leigh's - Heading Over The Hill , A Grand Old Time
