Rossetti was one of the Pre-Raphaelite lot. No, they weren't before Raphael. They were rejecting some of the approach since Raphael and insisting on painting life like images with vibrant colours.
This painting is also known as The Bower Meadow. I just love the hair, skin and all the rich colours.
