Cecily is a debut novel dealing with the life of Cecily Neville who married Richard, Duke of York and went through the Wars of The Roses.

 

I'm so glad to have found this author – what a debut!  Her writing is just fine.  Accessible to modern readers without being untrue to its setting.

 

Goodreads calls it an epic feminist retelling of the War of the Roses – there's nothing feminist about it other than actually telling the story through a woman's eyes.

 

I hope she keeps on writing.
