Books You Loved: October Edition!

Books You Loved: September Edition provided reviews of lots of great books. Thank you to all. Here are a few that caught my eye:

Tina of Turn The Page brought us Smile and Look Pretty by Amanda Pellegrino.  She said 'If The Devil Wears Prada and Bridget Jones Diary had a baby it would be this book. I’m loving this book, the dialogue and most of the characters.'

Melissa from Chick Lit reviewed What The Lady Wants by Renee Rosen.  She said 'I have never met a Renee Rosen novel I didn't like and What the Lady Wants is further proof. I was riveted and engaged from the moment I picked this novel up.' I have now read this and agree and will be posting about it – but be warned some of the main themes are not based on fact even though it is about real people.

Her Perfect Life by Hank Phillippi Ryan was reviewed by Book Reviews by Linda Moore.  Linda said 'I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. It made me hold my breath a lot and shed a lot of tears. It was told in a way that made you feel the things that were happening. It has all the things you need and desire in a good thriller/mystery.'

Finishing off with two of the books reviewed by the inimitable Elizabeth of Silver's Reviews.  Both with a reading theme.

The Last Chance Library by Freya Sampson.  Elizabeth said 'If you need a read that will make you smile, add this book to your reading queue. ..It is a tribute to libraries, the comfort they provide for its patrons, and for everyone who uses the library for books and friendship…I KNEW I was going to like this book, but I LOVED it!!  5/5'

The Reading List By Sara Nisha Adams.  Elizabeth said 'What can be better than a book promoting the love of books and libraries and how they change your life and can bring you closer to others.  5/5'

Now on to October. There are no rules for this party.  The only requirement is that your post is about a book that you loved.

To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and paste the url of your post about it into the second box. Mr Linky also makes you tick a box.

I'll be pinning your links to this Pinboard to make it easier for you to check them out at a glance.  Our libraries are still closed – darn that Delta – so I am reduced to using the electronic library.

Take care and stay safe.

  9. It's been many many months since I had two 5 star reviews to contribute to your list, but I'm having such a great reading month, it's finally happened again! This month I'm sharing: The Perfect Guests by Emma Rous and Calypso by David Sedaris.

  10. I just added that historical fiction I loved. Under the Golden Sun was marvelous & I hope the author does a follow up book. I didn't want to see the characters or story end.
