A Peculiar Combination by Ashley Weaver

 

Thanks to Alex of The Children's War, I found out about this book.  I enjoyed it even though it was a bit outside my normal genres.

 

So, it is wartime.  Electra McDonnell and her Uncle are safe crackers.  Some government people catch them and give them a choice – to help catch some spies or go to jail.  Things get interesting from there.  The Government's man is an aristocratic Major.  Sparks fly.

 

I will be looking to read the next in the series when it comes out.
