The Holdout by Graham Moore

The Holdout captured my imagination early – and I really enjoyed it despite the use of dual timelines (which I usually find clunky).

A female juror started up as a minority of one to acquit and by the end of a long deliberation turns everyone to agree with her – not all for the same reason.

10 years on there is a reunion of the jury organised by media.  The female juror, who by then is a defense lawyer, finds herself being charged with murder.

So there are 2 main storylines.  The original murder charge and the jury's proceedings and who killed the juror at the reunion.

  1. That’s on my list to read. I wish our library would get it soon!
