Macerated Berry Salad

 


Here is an extremely simple but spectacular dish which is enhanced by the addition of Vanilla Extract.  I think this looks appetising despite the rather pedestrian stainless steel bowl!

Just hull your strawberries and put them into a bowl with raspberries and blueberries.  Pour over them some limoncello and kirsch together with the vanilla extract.  I think the lemon flavour in the limoncello is really good but you could use any liqueur or spirit you have on hand (except milk based ones).

Stir and leave to macerate in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

 I like to serve this with whipped cream and/or ice cream.
