Félix Vallotton was born in Switzerland on the 28th December in 1865 but was based in Paris and later became a French citizen.
He died 60 years later the day after his birthday. By that time he had logged 1700 works.
He was well known for his woodcuts but also did other forms of art, including even sculpture.
