Lise's sister is a country music star.  They have been estranged for years – for reasons which come clear.  Callie, the star, dies unexpectedly in an accident.

 

Then Lise finds herself faced with dealing with Callie's affairs including her young teenage daughter.  What happens, including tribulations with the press and Callie's entourage is fascinating.

 

I gave this a try having read A Borrowed Life.  It was a good read.
