The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms

There are some things I didn't like about this one – the title for starters (although the title character is a school librarian, so the overdue reference works on 2 levels).  But I kept on reading and enjoying.  The writing was done well.  I particularly enjoyed the journal Amy's daughter kept while her Mom was on a break in New York (which one of her friends termed a momspringa (aka rumspringa for the Amish).

I'm not going to share much of the story – go to Goodreads if you want to know.  But if you want something amusing, even if somewhat incredible, give this a go.
