Madill's Farm is a large park in the Auckland suburb of Kohimarama (known as Kohi to locals).
The land passed from the Melanesian Trust Board through several private owners until being leased to a farmer William Madill.
The playground was built in 1964 and has been recently upgraded.
4 playing fields were constructed by 1980. The Council had proposed many more but bowed to local opposition.
There is also quite a large area where you can exercise dogs off leash.
Here's hoping this park remains no busier/developed than it is now – green space, once lost, is very difficult to recover.
