Wenderholm –a regional park just to the north of Auckland

The beach is a major attraction as are the various walking tracks. There are over 100 hectares in the park (247 acres).  It's been a park since 1965.

A great spot for summer picnics.

You can walk up to a lookout point showing the whole beach – if you felt fit enough.

There is a historic house and gardens to visit – it's open normally every afternoon for $5 – Couldrey House and Gardens.
