A Springtime Affair by Katie Fforde

A Springtime Affair is just what you expect from a Katie Fforde book (what is it with the double f?)  This is not literary fiction.  It is aimed at women fair and square.

A mother and daughter both start new relationships.  There are some obstacles but guess what, it all turns out for the best.

So don't hesitate if you are in the market for a romantic escape.  Katie has written at least 25 books.  That's prolific!

  1. Don't always agree with what the women do but it is light hearted.

  3. I have read a Katie Fforde book ages (before I blogged) ago but it was just another chick lit that you dent to forget. It was nice, though, so I totally agree with you.

But I can tell you the reason of the double F. In Welsh, they often use different kind of letters from the rest of people using the Latin alphabet. The F alone is pronounced as a "v", if you want to pronounce it "f", you have to double the letter. I don't speak Welsh but since I'm interested in languages and have asked myself the same question once, I have either had a friendly Welsh person explain it to me or looked it up on Google or Wikipedia.

Llawer o gariad oddi wrth Marianne (means: Lots of Love from Marianne, also googled, LOL)

    Happy Reading.
