The
Worst Witch is number 22 on the UKBookTrust's list of
best books for 6 to 8 year olds. It's a
charming little tale set in a girls' school for witches. Think Harry Potter light but for younger girls. The book was published in 1974.
The heroine Mildred is well meaning but keeps getting
things wrong. We follow her trials,
tribulations and triumphs in her first year at the school
A bit of fun even adults will enjoy.
