Some beautiful work by the Pre-Raphaelite, Dante Gabriel Rossetti

In the mid-1800's Dante Gabriel Rossetti founded the Pre-Raphaelite movement.   He was a clever chap being also a poet, illustrator and translator.

He was born in England but was the son of an Italian – which may have influenced his romanticism.  Hope you enjoy these joyful images.

  1. I first discovered the PreRaphaelite painters in the Tate Museum, each painting looks like a rich jewel. Love them, thanks for sharing this.
