The BFG by Roald Dahl - a truly gloriumptious* book

OMG, why have I never read this gem before?  It came out when I was older I guess.  If you need a pick me up just read or re-read this one.  It is unmitigated fun.

On top of a cracking story involving fizzwiggler* giants, a friendly giant and the Queen, you have the marvel of Dahl's gobblefunking*.  He makes a lot of words up – and they are so fab at conveying his meaning.

I was inspired to get the Oxford Roald Dahl Dictionary from the library – which is also great fun
