Cabaret – a great Liza Minelli song

What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.
Put down the knitting,
The book and the broom.
Time for a holiday.
Life is Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.

What an artist/actress Liza Minelli was at her peak!  The original musical, Cabaret, dates from 1966.  My recollection of it comes from the 1972 film.

Here is a link from YouTube for the song.

As you no doubt know, Liza's mother was Judy Garland. Liza is almost 70 now!
