Give this graphic novel a go – it's a quick read but
quite atmospheric. A designer (born in
Japan) is working in London. She gets a
call at work to tell her that her father has died. The main story deals with her return to Japan
to deal with things and her pull towards the culture of her home country
against an exciting career.
It has threads of what it is like to be a stranger in a
strange land, and what you feel when you go home. Her father is gone but her mother who
divorced him many years before is still there.
