Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen is both the name of a song and of an album – his 7^th.  The cover was a little bit controversial … but people got over it.  This was in 1984. The cover was shot by Annie Liebowitz.

The lyrics would be controversial today as well.  I don't think the verse was what made this an anthem.

The album had some other big numbers as well – Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark and Bobby Jean among them.
