Private Dancer by Tina Turner

I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
And any old music will do

Well, what do you know, Private Dancer was recorded first by Dire Straits and written by Mark Knopfler.  This explains the song's vibe…

And no the song wasn't intended to be about a hooker – it was about a disillusioned ballroom dancer.

You've gotta love Tina and admire those legs…

  1. They had Tina on CBS morning show..think it was a repeat but she's one cool lady. Said she doesn't perform anymore...but what a performer!!!

  2. My favorite female singer of all time! And no, I did not know that Private Dancer was first recorded by Dire Straits. Headed to check that out.
