Happy Bird-day - Eastern Screech-Owl

Screech-Owls can be red or gray.  They make a whinnying sound at night.  I think the combination of bright eyes and sort of ears are appealing.  The owls in Ohio are smaller than those found in Texas – but, of course!  They are found extensively in the eastern half of the US and live in densely populated areas as well.  They sleep during the day and are awake at night so good luck at spotting one.
