What Would Boudicca Do? By E Foley & B Coates

Ok this book is similar in approach to In Praise of Difficult Women by Karen Karbo which I loved so much I put it into My Top 20 Books

But it is also different.  The writing is snarky and humorous.  The authors have also written about over 20 women I had never heard of.  They have taken 50 women and related their lives to contemporary issues eg Boudicca and Sticking Up For Yourself, Hypatia and Being a Geek and Proud.

If you need a little boost to be more of a badass, this book will help and make you laugh at the same time.  As someone who has been called Boadicea (some years ago now) I particularly enjoyed the chapter on her –now called Boudicca – she certainly took no prisoners.

This book doesn't take itself too seriously.  Read and enjoy.
