Saving Sophie by Ronald H Balson

If you like a tense thriller and also are happy to learn a bit about Israeli Palestinian issues, Saving Sophie is for you.  I enjoyed the plot but not the wodges of history disguised as a spy briefing quite so much.

So what can I tell you about the book without any spoilers.  An accountant's daughter is kidnapped – she is now living in Hebron with her grandparents.  Her father accepts a dubious offer to help get her back and things roll from there.  You have dodgy Russians, terrorism and law enforcement.

The private detective and lawyer couple from The Girl From Berlin are also in this novel. It is earlier in time so they aren't married yet.
